REALIZE WHAT'S WITHIN

Located in Port Hope, Ontario, Trinity College School (TCS) is one of Canada’s oldest and most respected independent day and boarding schools for grades 5 to 12.

At TCS, everyone is valued for the unique combination of things that make them themselves - and we welcome every individual as an important part of our culture. TCS students are surrounded by mentors and peers who truly value them and what they bring to the community.

Our faculty truly know and care about each student and work with them as they explore new opportunities and go deeper with what they love in a safe, healthy and inclusive environment. We offer endless opportunities in a close-knit global community — with challenges and support appropriate for each child — so students build independence, think freely, and discover all that’s possible.

REALIZE YOUR INDIVIDUALITY

Imagine an educational environment that provides academic riguor while supporting social-emotional development. A setting that instills healthy habits and universal values while challenging students to think critically and independently. A community that embraces every student's individuality while supporting them with care and compassion as they realize their true potential. It is in the Junior School at Trinity College School, where all of this and more is possible!

REALIZE 100%

Located in Boulden House, one of the historic buildings on campus, the Junior School is a hub of tradition and innovation. Experiential and authentic learning experiences for our students in the classroom, and across our 100-acre campus, contribute to the development of real-life skills like collaboration and critical thinking. At TCS, learning goes beyond excelling academically. Our students develop independence by becoming part of a community where there is the space, time and resources to realize what's within them.

REALIZE ALL THAT’S POSSIBLE

In the Junior School, we strive to develop the whole child — one who is confident and willing to contribute positively to our full program of academics, co-curriculars, athletics, the arts, service learning and more. This is part of what makes us unique and is an integral part of our excellence as a school. As our mission proudly states, we are developing habits of the heart and mind for a life of purpose and service. In doing so, our students are continuously bettering their whole selves, their communities, and ultimately, the world around them. Our students will leave the Junior School equipped with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in anything they choose.

TCS JUNIOR SCHOOL

Grades 5-8

Junior School students embrace new opportunities, explore curiosity, build connections, develop a strong character, and establish the requisite skill set to succeed and excel in TCS Senior School - and in life.

Our faculty work closely with them to nurture a solid sense of citizenship, leadership, good study habits, critical thinking and sound observation skills in academics, arts, athletics, and co-curricular activities. We also encourage our students to explore their interests outside the traditional classroom setting and curriculum through project-based, experiential learning, and use of our outdoor classroom area.
